The mission of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is to create and maintain a positive business climate that meets the needs of our members by supporting economic development and growth in the region. We envision a vibrant Andrea Manning joined the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut as the Administrative Partnerships Manager on February 26, 2024. She comes to the Chamber from Mitchell College where she served as Administrative Coordinator for Academic Affairs. She also brings 5 years of experience in nonprofit management and arts administration from her role as Program Manager at the Art League of Long Island, and over a decade of experience in cultural production.

South Fork Wind has completed installation of more than six of its 12 turbines, reaching the significant halfway milestone for construction of America’s first utility-scale offshore wind farm in federal waters. As you know, turbines for the project are being staged and assembled at New London State Pier in Connecticut.
The milestone comes roughly a month after South Fork Wind made history as the first utility-scale offshore wind farm in federal waters to begin powering up. The six turbines are With tax season rapidly approaching, the IRS reminds employers that Jan. 31 is the deadline for submitting wage statements and forms for independent contractors with the government.

When Tony Sheridan immigrated to New London from County Meath, Ireland back in 1964, one of his first jobs was as a plumber. His reasoning, he says, was simple.
"We had no plumbing at our house in Ireland," Sheridan said. "That was one of the things we always wished for … but where I grew up in Ireland, you've got to go to the well, and get a bucket of water."
Sheridan traded in his plunger and wrench decades ago. Today, Eastern CT – Thomas “Tony” Sheridan, President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, has been appointed to head the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA).
The CAA is a public/private partnership that develops, improves, and operates six aviation facilities in Connecticut to promote the state to business interests in the US and abroad.
In his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CAA, Sheridan will lead a team of eleven other experienced individuals in overseeing operations at Eastern CT – The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation has announced the distribution of $107,400 to 38 eastern CT non-profits that will improve the quality of life for thousands of children in the region.
The Foundation raised funds throughout 2017 with fundraisers including the 6th Annual Bowl-a-Thon at High Rollers Luxury Lanes at Foxwoods Resort Casino in April and the 34th Annual Holiday Gala held at Mohegan Sun in December.

Chamber Foundation Provides $88,674 to 27 Nonprofits to Benefit
Thousands of Children and Families in Region
Waterford, CT — The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation today announced the distribution of $88,674 to 27 eastern Connecticut nonprofits that will improve the quality of life for thousands of children in eastern Connecticut.
The Foundation raised funds throughout 2014 with fundraisers including the Annual Bowl-a-Thon at Foxwoods in April and the Annual Holiday Gala held at Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Announces Recipients of Regional Chamber AwardsAwards to be Bestowed at Chamber’s March 3, 2015 Annual Meeting Featuring CT Governor Dannel Malloy
Waterford, CT – The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT is pleased to announce the winners of the Regional Chamber Awards, which will be given at the Chamber’s March 3, 2015 Annual Meeting featuring CT Governor Dannel Malloy.
Winners are Joshua’s Limousine Service for Small Business of the Year, FoxGlove of East Lyme for Waterford, CT – The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is proud to announce the recipients of its Young Professionals of the Year awards. This year’s awards will be given during the Young Professionals of the Year Banquet, held Fri., Jan. 30 at Latitude 41 in Mystic.
Young Professionals of the Year areKayla Castronova, Alex Hau, and Amy Munoz. They will be celebrated alongside incoming Young Professionals incoming Chairperson Meagan Seacor and PROP Champion Nisha Parekh.
